Training and Capacity Building

Our training and capacity building programme has now finished. If you are looking for current activities, you might be interested in training and events organised by Realities.

Training Workshops

We run a programme of training workshops in the use of 'real life' qualitative and multidimensional research and data. We welcome social science researchers in academia or the policy and voluntary sectors.

PhD Studentship

The University of Leeds has funded a PhD studentship which has been awarded to Carmen Lau. Carmen's PhD is titled 'Investigating the experiences of Chinese children living in the UK'.

MSc Bursary

The University of Manchester has funded a bursary for a student on the MSc Sociological Research. This bursary is intended to encourage students to plan further study in sociological research, and to equip them with appropriate methodological training to enable them thereafter to apply for ESRC funding for postgraduate research. The bursary has been awarded to Ross Clark.
