Vital Signs: Reception and exhibition viewing

Photo from Living Resemblances exhibition in March 08Wednesday 10th September, 5-6pm, Foyer area

Conference delegates are invited to join us for a drinks reception and exhibition viewing after the paper sessions on Wednesday.

We will be showing parts of exhibitions produced from the work of three of the Real Life Methods projects:

  1. Connected Lives - a multi-dimensional neighbourhood case study exploring the dynamics of social networks and the idea of 'community'
  2. Living Resemblances - a project exploring the importance of family resemblances (in appearance, character and behaviour) have in everyday life.
  3. Young Lives - a qualitative longitudinal study of young people's lives at home, in school and in leisure time.

All three of these exhibitions were produced as a way of disseminating information about our research to a non-academic audience (eg local residents, the general public, research participants). So as well as being an accessible introduction to the research, they can also be viewed as a examples of ways of disseminating research to a non-academic audience.
